Our strategic land holdings extend across the vast expanse of Sindh’s Wind Corridor, making it the perfect canvas for creating a groundbreaking hybrid wind and solar farm. In addition to this wind-rich region, we possess extensive land parcels in other parts of Sindh, including a sprawling 323 acres of prime real estate right in the heart of Karachi, strategically positioned in close proximity to major grid stations. Dr. Amer Azim Daudpota (CEO)
Dr. Amer Azim Daudpota has over 30 years of diversified experience in the field of medicine, textiles, petrochemicals, and banking. He has worked at a senior management level in Engro Corp (formerly Exxon Mobil), Standard Chartered Bank, and British Petroleum (BP). Dr. Amer’s contributions in the field of education and medicine won Engro CSR Asia Pacific Awards. He introduced telemedicine in Pakistan and connected city hospitals with remote hospitals. Dr. Amer ensured training of visually impaired persons in banking and vocational training among the youth to make them self-sustainable. He also established numerous primary schools and hospitals in rural and remote areas of Pakistan. His connections with politicians, government officials, and other national organizations are well known and can resolve any conflict issues with ease for smooth operation of projects.
Tariq Hasan (Managing Director)
Tariq is an experienced investment banker with expertise in arranging joint ventures and acquisitions in the Pakistani corporate sector. He has extensive experience as the Head of Commercial Banking and as Head of Bangladesh Operations for one of the largest commercial banks in Pakistan. In addition to his banking career, he has been active as an entrepreneur. His family sponsored construction projects and played a vital role in establishing major infrastructure projects such as South Asia’s first mobile telecommunications operator, Pakistan’s largest IPP (586MW), a significant privatization project, and several other initiatives. He was an integral part of the team that prepared due diligence and the necessary paperwork for acquiring permission from the Government of Pakistan.
Khwaja Humayun Nizami (Chief Operating Officer (COO))
Khwaja Humayun Nizami is a highly accomplished banking professional with a career spanning three decades. He holds degrees in Business Administration and has completed management development programs at Harvard Business School in Boston and Columbia Business School in New York. He also holds a DAIBP certification from the Institute of Bankers in Pakistan. Mr. Nizami has served as Chair of the Board of Investment for the Government of Baluchistan. He has a strong track record of establishing new businesses and reversing financial declines by aligning finance with core operations and developing effective cross-enterprise partnerships.
Dr. Shahzaib M. Khan (Director)
Dr. Shahzaib M Khan is not only a highly skilled pediatrician but also an accomplished entrepreneur with a creative and technical edge. Previously leading the Pediatrics Department at Ziauddin Hospital, Clifton, he leverages his extensive expertise acquired through post-graduate medical education at prestigious institutions like the National Institute of Health in Washington and Johns Hopkins University in the United States. Demonstrating a strategic and business-focused mindset, Dr. Shahzaib’s career has been marked by impactful contributions to medical education. His leadership roles underscore his ability to drive successful initiatives, while his dynamic personality adds a unique dimension to his professional endeavors. Internationally recognized for his achievements in patient safety, quality improvement, and medical ethics, Dr. Shahzaib M Khan stands as a testament to the intersection of medicine and business acumen, making him an extremely important part of Redstone Energy.
Usman Azim Daudpota (Director Legal)
Usman Azim Daudpota belongs to an illustrious family of scholars and three generations of judges. His grandfather, Air Marshal Azim Daudpota, was a hero of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and former Governor of Sindh. Usman holds a Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Law, London, and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Bilgi University in Istanbul. He has an extensive corporate background and worked as Director Legal at a large corporation before joining Redstone Energy. Usman has also actively campaigned for and defended numerous NGOs and other organizations to eliminate violence in all forms against women and children. Apart from his corporate and human rights cases, he actively aids his partners and associates with criminal cases at his law firm, ASD Law. Currently, he is also a Director at International Clinical Solutions, a company which specializes in providing quality services to hospitals and pharmaceutical companies.
Muhammad Faisal Ur Rehman (General Manager Technical)
Mr. Faisal ur Rehman brings 33 years of professional experience from leading manufacturing and assembly companies in Pakistan. He holds a BE in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Computer Science from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi. His extensive expertise includes overseeing domestic and international procurement, formulating and implementing corporate process improvements, and introducing cost-saving strategies in production techniques. Currently, Mr. Rehman is focused on renewable energy, working on solar and wind turbine solutions. His experience also encompasses retrofitting electrical kits (motors, controllers, battery packs, etc.) in three- and four-wheelers as part of green energy projects. Regarding electric vehicles (EVs), he advocates for immediate adoption of protocol communication through interfacing CAN high and CAN low. Moreover, he has a comprehensive understanding of AC and DC fast charging systems.
Danish Khambatta (General Manager Operations)
Mr. Danish holds an engineering degree from NED University in Karachi and brings over 30 years of diverse experience, primarily in power generation. Starting as a Product Support Manager for diesel and gas generator sets at the Caterpillar dealer in Pakistan, he later transitioned to renewable energy, executing microgrid-scale projects with battery energy storage systems, solar, and wind energy systems. His work includes on-grid commercial installations on various roof types and green fields, as well as customized on-grid systems for residences to achieve net-zero billing, and synchronizing services with generator sets. Professionally trained in the UK at Hawker Siddeley Power Plant, Cummins, Lister Petter, and Newage Stamford, he is certified by the Harvard-Caterpillar Manage Mentor Sales Program in after-sales and machinery, and the Perkins Electronic Diagnostics and Maintenance Program. He has received accolades including Caterpillar’s Best Parts Sales (2013) and Outstanding Performance Support (2012).
Taha Mahmood (General Manager Marketing)
Taha Mahmood holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing, complemented by multiple certifications in project management and digital marketing. With over 8 years of diverse marketing experience across international and local markets, his journey began at Ozyegin University, where he studied while working as a Marketing Specialist for five years, gaining hands-on experience in brand development and strategic communication. He later joined Isik Group in Turkey as a Digital Marketing Executive, focusing on digital strategy and cross-border brand positioning. Most recently, he served as Director of Marketing at SoSafe Water Technologies for two years, leading impactful rebranding campaigns and digital growth initiatives. Taha is known for blending creative vision with data-driven strategy to deliver scalable, results-oriented marketing solutions.
Adam Ataullah Bensaid (Director of Strategy & Policy)
Adam holds a bachelor’s in political science from Malaysia and a master’s degree in international relations at Bogazici University in Istanbul. Prior to joining us, he worked as the Senior Producer at TRT World where he was responsible for workflow optimization, process automation, network strategy, and product liaison. Adam’s responsibilities also included investigative journalism. His experience in strategy and policy started many years ago in the Islamic Corporation Youth Forum (ICYF) where he developed and designed strategy, policy, and roadmaps of implementation for areas of mandated interest, while coordinating intergovernmental and ministerial cooperation on issues of counter-terrorism and youth policy, as well as lobbying for policy coherence in national youth and child policies and challenges with international organizations. Other key fields included security sector reform, public health, mitigating preventable disease, and increasing literacy. He also wrote the 1st OIC-wide youth strategy and participated in designing the OIC Plan of Action for Women and contributed to the MDG-SDG assessment. He also formulated the State of Youth in OIC Member Countries report and contributed to reports on child and family development and health. Adam issued high-impact policy recommendations for relevant ministries, and conducted research and analysis on a broad range of social, developmental, and economic issues including youth, women, and child socioeconomic development, public health, education, and entrepreneurship throughout the 57 OIC member states.
Asem Khanfar (Director Middle East & Turkey)
Asem is a graduate of London School of Economics with a Bachelor’s in International Relations and a diploma in Social Sciences. Post-graduation he has been working with one of the top law firms in Turkey. His work revolves around developing their legal tech software to advance the legal sector. Beyond that, Asem co-founded a digital marketing company in Qatar. It’s been growing steadily for the past year and a half, allowing him to get more acquainted with the market and its potential. With the aim of being an active part of the next leap in development, Asem invested in building a network of forward-thinking dynamic individuals across several fields and countries in the region. He believes increased connectivity, knowledge and talent sharing, as well as investing in and building technologies would bring the potential of this region forward.
Aamir Haider Butt (Independent Director)
Aamir Haider Butt is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, and business development across the textile and healthcare sectors, both in Pakistan and internationally. He is the CEO and Founder of International Clinical Solutions, a company specializing in surgical consumables and disposables, and also serves as Director of Fashionwear (Pvt) Ltd., a leading garment manufacturing firm established in 1965.
Aamir has led business growth through strategic market expansion, innovative operations, and stakeholder engagement. He is also actively involved in academia, serving as Visiting Faculty at Greenwich University, and has been invited as a guest speaker at IBA, IoBM, and Indus Valley School on topics such as goal setting, public speaking, interviews, and career development.
In addition, Aamir is affiliated with Aror University, where he supports industry-academia linkage by guiding the university in building connections with industrial partners and associations. His diverse background brings valuable cross-sector insights to the Redstone panel.
